Annika Winbo

Dr Winbo received her MD (2009) and PhD in Paediatrics with focus on Inherited Cardiac Arrhythmia (2012) from Umeå University, Sweden. As a post-doc, she trained in iPS cell tissue culture at the Van Andel Research Institute, Michigan, USA (2014), and cellular cardiac electrophysiology at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Sydney, Australia (2015). Since 2014, Dr Winbo (Department of Physiology, University of Auckland and Department of Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Services, Auckland District Health Board) has been the Principal Investigator of an international collaborative project investigating cardiomyocyte and neuronal phenotypes in iPS-derived cells from long QT syndrome patients and controls.
