A/Prof. Haris Haqqani is a Senior Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Prince Charles Hospital and the University of Queensland. He graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne and undertook advanced training in cardiology and electrophysiology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His PhD looked at ventricular tachycardia in heart failure which he continued research in during his postdoc at The University of Pennsylvania. Haris has co-authored more than 90 journal papers, 200 conference abstracts, 15 book chapters and several national and international arrhythmia management guidelines. He is a regular invited speaker at national and international conferences. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Heart, Lung & Circulation, and is on the Editorial Boards of JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology and International Journal of Cardiology.
