Jon Skinner is paediatric cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the Sydney Childrens Hospital Network, and Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney and University of Auckland. He established the New Zealand national Cardiac Inherited Disease Group and NZ national cardiac inherited disease registry before moving to Sydney in 2019, where he took over leadership of Kids Heart Research. He was chair of the genetic council of CSANZ 2015-2019. He is an editorial board member of Heart Rhythm, associate editor of the journal of Paediatrics and Child Health and has authored over 150 peer reviewed scientific articles. His research focus is long QT syndrome and sudden death in the young.
