Kevin Ng

Dr Kevin Ng is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist and is the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at Cairns Hospital where he established the Electrophysiology service for the Far North of Queensland in 2018. He is also the clinical lead for Heart Failure and Cardiac Genomics where he runs the only genetic service outside a metropolitan centre. He qualified from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom before completing his Cardiology training in Brisbane. He then pursued overseas fellowships in Electrophysiology in Canada, as well as a research fellowship with the Salvatore Maugeri Foundation in Pavia, Italy under the esteemed tutelage of Prof. Sylvia Priori in inherited cardiac diseases. He has been involved in several high impact publications in relation to Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy as well as Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia and is committed in delivering a wholistic approach to managing patients and their families with inheritable cardiac diseases. He is also involved in multicentre trials looking at treatment for Heart Failure including cardiac amyloidosis and is passionate about the prevention and management of Sudden Cardiac Death.
