Sophie Hespe

Sophie Hespe is a PhD student in the Clinical Genomics Lab at Garvan Institute of Medical Research under the supervision of A/Prof Jodie Ingles. Sophie has a background working as a clinical cardiac physiologist, and completed her Master of Philosophy in 2023. Continuing the work from her masters, her PhD focuses on understanding the gene-disease relationships and the role of genetics in inherited cardiomyopathies. Sophie is also a member of the ClinGen working group Hereditary Cardiovascular Disease Gene Curation Expert Panel.
