Paul Lacaze

A/Prof Paul Lacaze is a pioneering researcher in public health genomics, population DNA screening and genomic risk prediction. He holds a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellowship and is CIA of the DNA Screen national pilot study, offering population DNA screening to 10,000 healthy adults for medically actionable conditions, including familial hypercholesterolemia. Lacaze also leads the genomics research program for ASPREE, Australia’s largest clinical trial and genomic cohort of ageing, where he regularly publishes polygenic risk prediction studies. Lacaze also conducts research into ethical/legal/social issues in genomics, and is CIA of the Australian Genetics & Life Insurance Moratorium project.
