Bruce Bennetts

Bruce is the Head of the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He has been involved in molecular genetics testing for over 25 years. His laboratory has developed massively parallel sequencing for a range of phenotypes including aortic aneurysms, epileptic encephalopathy, eye development disorders, renal disorders, metabolic disorders and bone fragility disorders.

Bruce is a member of NPAAC and the current chair of the NPAAC drafting committee for massively parallel sequencing. He is the chair of the RCPA-QAP Advisory committee for Molecular Genetics. He is Deputy Chair of the SCHN Human Research Ethic committee.
